Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones were both not the original choice for their roles. Some of the scenes couldn’t be faked, for instance the train bus crash scene, they actually crashed the two together. For the chase scene through the parade, they filmed through an actual St. Patrick’s Day parade in Chicago.
