With an estimated budget of $16,500,000. This movie had a slow opening weekend in May of 1991 selling over $6,000,000 worth of tickets. Shortly after this slow launch, it never really took off, as it only grossed $45,000,000. The part of JD in this movie had many little known actors at the time auditioning. Including George Clooney which as we all know, he went on to find his way through the film industry quite well.
