With an estimated budget of $14,000,000. This movie had a decent opening weekend in March of 1990 selling just over $11,000,000 worth of tickets. Shortly after this slower launch, that steam started picking up fast as it grossed $463,000,000. During one of the scenes when the star was watching I Love Lucy reruns, they had someone just barely off screen tickling her feet to get her to genuinely laugh since it was soo hard to get her to laugh on camera.
