The France-based company Beauer is working on integrating their telescopic camper technology into a van. It is called 3XC. The van will expand 3x its size with enough space for a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and living room. If you are looking for something compact to drive but more spacious at your destination, this might be the right RV for you. Hopefully, we will see this become a reality soon.
