This was one of the most expensive models of military motorbikes ever produced by the Germans. The reason lie in its specificity. This particular version shows just what the Germans were looking for in a motorcycle. The tires were thicker to grip uneven terrain, ground clearance was higher and the sidecar had to be capable of delivering up both soldiers and weapons, as well as supplies for troops on the battlefront (notice this sidecar is equipped with two gas cans instead of one). And while most were not used for weapon employment via sidecar, the possibility did exist if the situation demanded it.
